The practice provides a Diabetic Clinic run by the practice nurse Emer Wickham, under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Holmes and Dr. O’Gorman. This clinic is run in conjunction with Beaumont Hospital.

This clinic is available to all Type 2 Diabetic patients of the practice, i.e. diabetics who do not require insulin to manage their condition.

These patients are offered a twice-yearly review, where diet, medication and lifestyle issues are discussed and a relevant physical examination is performed.

A urine test and the following blood tests are usually performed;

Fasting Cholesterol
HbA1c
Liver Function
Kidney Function
