The practice provides free cervical smear tests under the National Cervical Screening Programme to all women between 25 and 60.

Women are entitled to a cervical smear free of charge every 3 years between 25 and 45, and every 5 years between 45 and 60 through the National Cervical Screening programme. You can find out more about this on their website: www.cervicalcheck.ie

When your smear test is due, you may make an appointment with the practice to have it done. Please bring your PPS number with you on the day of your cervical smear appointment.

If you are not eligible for a free cervical smear the practice can still provide one for you, with charge of €85.

Please note that the smear appointment is for a smear only. If you wish to discuss any other matter at the time of the consultation, plase let the Receptionist know when you are booking the appointment. In this case, a normal consultation fee will apply.
