Blood tests can be taken during any weekday surgery up to Friday midday. It is usually advised to make a morning appointment for blood tests to ensure they are sent for analysis the same day.

Some blood tests require you to be fasting from the night before – most commonly blood sugar and cholesterol testing. If you are not sure if you need to be fasting for a blood test please check with the surgery when you are making your appointment.
